Fantasy Teams Set To Rumble at KICKOFF

Feb 7, 2010

Six sponsored Teams have drafted more than 25 talented junior fighters as the Fantasy Junior Team Sparring division is set to begin again at the BASKA California State Championships on Saturday, March 13th in Oakland, CA.

The 6 Teams include The Shark City Shenanigans, Team NCO, Team AAA, Team United, The Fab 4, and Team Flash.

Junior Team Sparring starts at each BASKA Tournament at 9am. Each Junior Team has four players each (three 10-13yr old fighters & one 9&under fighter). The first 3 fights are 90-second matches with a 7-point spread rule. The anchor fight is a full 2 minute matchup with no point spread.
Teams with the most points after 4 rounds is declared the winner.

For each regular season tournament, Teams will accumulate League Points much like how athletes obtain points in individual sparring. The two Teams with the highest Point Total at the end of the regular season will receive a first round bye at the BASKA Finals in October. The other four Teams will need to fight in an elimination round before meeting these top 2 Teams in the semi-finals. The two junior Teams that are left will fight on stage at the BASKA Night Time Finale for majestic Silver Cup Awards.

Here is a peak at the players on each Team-

Shark City Shenanigans (SCS): Clay Machado, Pablo Miranda, Dillion Starr, Justin Dupont

Team NCO: Charles Lee, Angel Miranda, Brandon Rabanal, Jolinna Pardilla
