A Ray of Hope Scholarship Guidelines

Our History

Established in 2013 by the The LEAGUE and Sport Martial Arts athlete, Raymond Daniels, A Ray of Hope Foundation, awards college scholarships to outstanding Sport Martial Art athletes who perform above and beyond the martial arts, the community, and in their educational pursuits.

Raymond Daniels has been a LEADER as an American figurehead worldwide in Sport Martial Arts. He has reached global prominence with repeated victories in all the Major Martial Art events. Past his accomplishments in the Ring, it’s the actions displayed outside ring that separates Raymond Daniels. Daniels reaches back to his COMMUNITY each year, conducting dozens of Clinics alongside elite athletes from his Team, USA All-Stars. These clinics aim to aide and give back younger generations of athletes unparalleled knowledge and insight into Sport Martial Art competition that they could not get elsewhere. Suffice to say, Raymond Daniels is respected for Intelligence, his Service, and his Leadership.

The “Ray of Hope Foundation” will be working alongside The LEAGUE, which itself was established in 2004 and led by Promoter pioneers Tony Kattengell & Sean Dumlao. The LEAGUE has been a LEADER in their efforts as well facilitating FREE Tournaments, producing “A Way of Life”, a Competitor Training Video Documentary, having a continued working relationship with professional NBA sports organizations, and taking pride in keeping a “Competitor’s first” premise in their daily operations.

The “Ray of Hope Foundation” Program aims to provide Scholars with more than just academic opportunities, but also aims to foster both the strong commitment of service and dedication to future leadership that Raymond Daniels & the LEAGUE helps embody.

The “Ray of Hope Foundation” provides Scholar Athletes with the financial resources to attend college/junior college. Upon acceptance, Scholar Athletes are each awarded a Scholarship that may be used at the college or university of their choice.

Our Mission

The mission of the RAY OF HOPE FOUNDATION is to accelerate the progress of Sport Martial Art scholar athletes using their success in the Martial Arts, Community, and Academia to springboard them to attend a College and earn a degree of their choice.

The aim is also to elevate these honored individuals into leadership positions, while maintaining a strong dedication to Public Service and the Martial Arts.
